waters of "Tuck-a-Hoe" Creek, and down said waters and

creek, and binding therewith, to the places of beginning.

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the voting place, or polls,
in said district, shall be at Ridgely.

"Sec. And be it enacted, That the Governor of Maryland
and the County Commissioners of Caroline County be, and

they are respectively hereby authorized and directed to appoint
for said new district one Justice of the Peace,one Constable and

one Registration Officer for the registration of voters, and all

other officers as they may now be authorized by law to ap-
point, for other election districts in Caroline County, and
also to do whatever else within the scope of their authority
may be necessary to carry out the objects of this Act.

"Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the Registration Officers

of the Second, or Greensboro' District, of the Third, or Den-
ton District, of the Sixth, or Ridgely District, as provided by
this bill, shall procure new registration books, and register
all the qualified voters of their respective election districts,
which said lists shall be returned by them to the office of
the Clerk of the Circuit Court for said county, as now provi-
ded by law.

"Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the Officers of Registra-
tion of Districts No. 2, or Greensboro' District No. 3,or Denton
District, No. 6, or Ridgely District, shall respectively have
ten days for registering said qualified voters, beginning at the
time now prescribed by law, and two additional days to correct
the lists, as now prescribed by law, and that they shall give at
least three weeks previous notice of the time and places of
such registration, by publication in some newspaper printed in

Caroline County, and by handbills set up in at least three
public places in each of said districts.

"Sec. 6. Be it enacted, That at the next election to be held
for Members for Congress in this State, the qualified voters

of said district residing within the lines and boundaries here-
inbefore prescribed, shall vote by ballot, either for Ridgely
Election District or for Hillsborough Election District, and
the Judges of the said election districts are directed to count
the ballots so cast, and return a copy of the same under their
hands and seals, to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Caroline
County.

"Sec. 7. Be it enacted, That the said Clerk of the Circuit
Court shall have published in one or more newspapers pub-
lished in said county, under his hand and seal of office, the
number of votes cast for the Ridgely District and the number
of votes cast for the Hillsborough District.
