The unfavorable report was then adopted.

Senate bill entitled an Act to lay out and establish a new
election district in Caroline County, ont of a portion of the
Third Election District of said couaty, to be called the
"Hillsborough District," or "Election District No. 6,"

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Sulivane moved to suspend the rules to enable him to
submit an amendment.

Which motion was adopted by yeas and nays as follows :

Mr. Sulivane submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out all after "A bill entitled" and insert in lieu
thereof the following: "An Act to create a new election
district in Caroline County, to be known as "Ridgely Dis-
trict," or "District No. 6," of Caroline County.

Section 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new election district be formed and laid out of
portions of the Second and Third Election Districts of Caro-
line County, to be known as "Ridgely District" or "District
No. 6," of Caroline County, whose metes and bounds shall
be as follows: Beginning for the lines thereof at the mouth
of Tuck-a-Hoe Creek, where it intersects Choptank river,
then northerly with said river, and binding therewith to a
place commonly called and known by the name of "Stock
Landing" or "Brick Mill," thence with the county road that
runs from said mill to Bridgetown, until it intersects or
reaches the branch on the north side of the farm of James A.
Roe, "Arable Land," then with said branch to the head
