Mr. Freeman moved to substitute the several Local Option

or Temperance bills for the unfavorable reports,

The motion to substitute the bill for the unfavorable re-
port on

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of any

license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, at or
within one-half mile of the village of Ashland, in Baltimore
County, and to prevent the sale of all kinds of intoxicating
drinks within the above described limits,

Was rejected by yeas and nays as follows:
