Also, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to enlarge the privileges of H-

censed hotel keepers.

Also, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of li-
cense for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, or lager
beer, at or within one mile of the village of Powhatan, in
Baltimore County.

Also, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
Charles County, of this State, to determine, by ballot,

whether spirituous, fermented or other intoxicating liquors
shall be sold in said county.

Also, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of li-
cense for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, or lager
beer, at or within one mile of the village of Wetheredsville,
in Baltimore County.

Also, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
Carroll County to determine by ballot whether spirituous or
fermented liquors shall be sold in said county.

Also, unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of any
license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, at or
within one-half mile of the village of Ashland, in Baltimore
County, and to prevent the sale of all kinds of intoxicating
drinks within the above described limits.

Pending the consideration of the unfavorable reports,
Mr, McLane submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the bills relating to Local Option and Tem-
perance, be recommitted to the Committee on Finance with
instructions to report a bill entitled an Act to enable the
qualified voters of the State of Maryland to determine by
ballot whether spirituous or fermented liquor shall be sold in
said State, and to provide for the deficiency that the prohibi-
tion of the sale thereof will occasion in the revenue of the
State.
