re-enact with an amendment Section 20, of Article 28, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commission-
ers," sub-title "Public Roads," so as to lead as follows.
On motion by Mr. Stump,
Leave was granted to Senators Stump, Sulivane, Franklin,
and Miller to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal
and re-enact Section 66, of Article 51, of the Code of Public
General Laws of the State of Maryland, relating to judg-
ments of Justices of the Peace, passed at January Session,
1868, so far as relates to Harford, Dorchester, Worcester and
Cecil Counties.
On motion by Mr. Welfley,
Leave was granted to Senators Welfley, Freeman and
Sulivane to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal
Section 176, of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act to grant
donations to Garrett County for the use of Academies and
Schools, and to amend and re-enact the same so as to read
88 follows.
Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably, the following bills :
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 16, of Article
29, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Courts,"
sub-title "Judgments," as amended by the Act of 1862,
Chapter 262, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 45, of Article
51, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Justices
ef the Peace, sub-title ''Supersedeas and Execution," and to-
re-enact the same with amendments.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 143, of Article
16, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, enti-
tled "Chancery," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

amendments Section 42, of Article 37, of the Code of Pub-
