Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Gorman submitted the following message :

BT THE SENATE,

March 19th, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates.

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate, for further consideration, the House bill entitled
an Act to repeal Sections 2, 3, 7 and 12, of the Acts of the
General Assembly, passed at its Session of 1876, Chapter
173, entitled an Act regulating the working and proper ven-
tilation of coal mines, in Allegany and Garrett Counties.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee of Conference, submit-
ted the following report:

The Committee of Conference, on. House bill, entitled an
Act to regulate the fees of State's Attorney, for Charles
County, respectfully report that after a full and free confer-
ence, they recommend that the Senate recede from its amend-
ments to the 2d section of said bill, and in lieu thereof adopt
the following amendment:

Section 2, line 6, strikeout after the words "sum of eight,"
and insert "nine." Respectfully submitted,
