House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1, 2 and 5,

of Chapter 212, of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act to

authorize the County Commissioners of Wicomico County to
levy taxes on the assessable property of said county, for the
purpose of purchasing a site on which to erect a Court-House

and Jail, and furnish the same, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, so as to read as follows,

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Humphreys submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Insert the following as Section 6 : "And if the said County
Commissioners shall be unable to meet the payments accord-
ing to the contract for building said buildings, or either of
them, they are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to
make a temporary loan, of not more than ten thousand dol-

lars, at a rate of interest of not more than six per centum.
per annum, to be repaid out of the Court-House Fund as
soon as collected."

Amend Section C, so as to read Section 7.
Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays, as follows :

Senate bill eatitled an Act to repeal Chapter 192, of the
Acts of 1874, entitled an Act to revive and extend an Act of

the General Assembly, passed December Session, 1846, Chap-
ter 68, entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of the
Buckingham Academy and Female Seminary of Berlin, and
to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read the third time, and paesel by yeas and nays, as
