Mr. Peter submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Page 10, Section 2, line 3, after the word "county," in-
sert the words, "the blank to be filled in the name of the
county for which said board is appointed."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 5, line 8, page 10, strike out the words "directed
and required."

Pending the consideration of said amendment,

At 2.45, P. M.s

Mr. Sulivane moved a call of the Senate.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was directed to notify absent Sena-
tors that their presence was required in the Senate Chamber.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,
At 2.50, P. M.,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

Said amendment was then rejected by yeas and nays, as
follows :
