Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by striking out Section 2, and inserting the fol-
lowing :

Section 2: The Board of County School Commissioners for
each, county shall consist of three persons where the number
of schools in the county is less than fifty ; of five where the
number of schools is more than fifty and less than one hun-
dred; and of seven where the number of schools is one hun-
dred or more, who shall be elected by the legal voters of the
county at each Congressional election, to serve for two years
from the first day of January next succeeding said election,
and until their successors shall qualify.

the following: "If in the discretion of the member of the
State Board of Education from that Judicial Circuit in which
the county is."
