House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at Janu-
ary Session, 1864, Chapter 303, entitled an Act to provide
for the appointment of three superintendents to supervise and
control the repairs and improvements of the public county
roads in Allegany County, leading from Barrallville to
Westernport, in said county, and to authorize and require
the County Commissioners of said county to make levies for
the repair and improvement of the same, and to enact the
following sections in lieu of said Act so repealed.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Combs, of Allegany, Dennis and Steiner.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners for Talbot County to purchase Miles' River Bridge,
and to make the same a free bridge.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Lloyd, Miller and Ford.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Garrett County to correct the assessment made
under Chapter 260, of the Laws of Maryland of 1876, in the
shares of stock of the Lochiel Lumber, Mining, Manufactur-
ing and Improvement Company, of Allegany County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to regulate fences in Tangier
and Dame's Quarter Districts, in Somerset County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Dennis, Franklin and Humphreys.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to provide for taking the sense
of the people of Washington County, relative to a change in
the present site of the Almshouse, and the removal of the
same, and purchase of a new site, as provided by Chapter
311, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at the January Session of 1872.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Newcomer, Steiner and Wilson.
