House bill entitled an Act to extend the charter of the
Maryland Institute for the promotion of the mechanic arts,

Mr. Dennis, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Somerset County to levy a sum of
money to build a bridge over Morumpso Creek, in said
county,

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend the bill by striking out the Words "George F.
Wood," and inserting "George F. Ward," in Section 1.

Which was adopted. '

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the Sheriff's fees in
Somerset County, so far as the same relates to the keeping of
prisoners, and their removal to the penitentiary.

Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Register of
Wills of Somerset County to have made a new general index
of the last wills and testaments recorded in his office.

Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to amend an Act passed at the
January Session, of the General Assembly, 1867, Chapter
183, entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Princess
Anne, in Somerset County, Maryland, by adding a section
thereto.

Which was read the second time.
