Dorchester County—Clement Sulivane.
Garrett County—Bathaser Welfley.
Harford County—Herman Stump, jr.
Montgomery County—George Peter.
Prince George's County—William B. Hill.
St. Mary's County—Robert C. Combs.
Talbot County—Edward Lloyd.
Worcester County—Littleton P. Franklin.

On motion by Mr. Dennis,
The Senate proceeded to a temporary organization.

On motion by Mr. Dennis,

The Hon. J. Fenner Lee wag called to the Chair, and hav-
ing assumed the game, addressed the Senators present.

On motion by Mr. Freeman,

The Senators elect then qualified by taking the oath pre-
scribed by the Constitution.

On motion by Mr. Joyce,
The Senate adjourned until to-morrow at 12 o'clock.

THURSDAY, January 3rd, 1878.
Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. Bannon, Combs, of Allegany, Combs, of St. Mary's,
Cooper, Dennis, Ford, Franklin, Freeman, Garey, Gorman,
Humphreys, Hill, Hepbron, Joyce, Lee, Lancaster, Lloyd,
McLane, Miller, Newcomer, Peter, Steiner, Sulivane, Stump,
Welfley, Wilson—26.

The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.
