On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to Senators Dennis, Humphreys and
Steiner, to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to make a.
new ana additional election district in Somerset County.

On motion by Mr. Lancaster,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, to introduce a bill to be entitled an
Act to regulate the catching, and provide for the preservation
of fish in the waters of the Potomac and its tributaries.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Retrenchment, to
introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed
at January Session, 1874, Chapter 200, establishing a State
Board of Health.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the Electors of President and Vice-President of
the United States, in and for the State of Maryland, their
officers and attendants.

On motion by Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to continue the corpo-
rate existence of the Bank of Commerce, in the City of Bal-
timore, and cancelling two thousand seven hundred shares in
the capital stock thereof.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize Elijah S. Adkins to
settle his account as guardian to Covington S. H. Littleton,
and deliver over the estate to the said ward.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Sulivane, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners of Talbot County, to appoint an. ad-
ditional constable for the First Election District of said
county.

Which was read the first time.

The hour of twelve having arrived, the Senate agreeably
to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the United States,
entitled an Act to regulate the time and manner of holding
elections for Senators in Congress, approved the 25th day of
