Railroad Company, and to convert the obligations of said
Company, now held, or hereafter to be held, by the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, into the preferred stock of said
Company, &c.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to purchase the whole or any part of the
second preferred mortgage bonds and coupons of the West-
ern Maryland Railroad Company, and fund certificates rep-
resenting such coupons, and to issue its stock or certificate of
indebtedness so far as may be necessary for the said object,
to an amount not exceeding the sum of $400,000.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act supplement to the Act incorpo-
rating the Western Maryland Railroad Company.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes
and Punishments," sub-title "Embezzling Property and
Writings."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to provide a sum of money to
pay to M. Bannon and Henry Aisquith, for professional ser-
vices rendered the State.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland to the bequest contained in the
last will and testament of Delilah West, deceased, late of
Dorchester County, to the Joppa Methodist Episcopal Church
South, or its Trustees, at Tobaccostick, Dorchester County,
Maryland.
