Mr. Dennis submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 6th, 1878.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message asking for the return of
the House bill entitled an Act to protect fish in the waters of
^Somerset County, and herewith return the same.

Which was read, and together with said bill sent to the
House of Delegates.

Mr. Lee presented the memorial of the Trustees of the
Western Maryland College, praying for a favorable consid-
eration.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Mr. Combs, of Allegany, presented the petition of L. H.
Fundenberg and 21 other physicians of Allegany County, in

connection with the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of
Maryland, praying for the passage of the bill now pending
before the Legislature in regard to confidential communica-
tions between patients and physicians.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings.

Mr. Sulivane presented the petition of 87 citizens of

Strait's District, Dorchester County, for a change of line
