Senate bill entitled an Act appropriating certain sums of

money for professional services rendered the State of Mary-
Jand.by Thomas Donaldson and James Revell,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Bannon submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In Section 1, line 3, strike out the letter "B," and insert
In lieu thereof the letter "P," so as to read "Mary E. P.
Donaldson."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
"Ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the revision of
the lists of registered voters in this State,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Joyce submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the words "A Bill" in title, and insert

the following:

"Entitled an Act to repeal Section 21, of the Acts of the

General Assembly, passed at the January, Session, 1876,
Chapter 249, entitled 'an Act to provide for the revision of
the lists of registered voters in this State,' and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 21, of the Acts of the General Assembly,
passsd at the January Session, 1876, Chapter 249, entitled
'an Act to provide for the revision of the lists of registered
voters in this State,' be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows.

"21. The officers of registration for the several wards of
Baltimore City, shall receive a salary of five hundred dollars
for the year eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, and an an-
nual salary of five hundred dollars thereafter ; and those for
the several counties shall each receive four dollars per day
for each day necessarily employed in the discharge of the du-
ties imposed on them by this Article; the Clerk of the Superior
Court of Baltimore City, shall receive one cent for every ten
words or figures, and pro rata for making certified copies of
said lists; and the Clerks of the Circuit Courts for the coun-
ties shall receive the same compensation for making certified
copies of said lists; and the said Clerks shall receive twenty.
