Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Humphreys, Dennis and Steiner.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to transfer to the Counties of
Allegany and Garrett, the control of the National Turnpike
or United States Road through said counties, and to provide
for the maintenance thereof.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Combs, of Allegany, Welfley and Dennis.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners
of Wicomico County, to levy taxes on the assessable property
of said county, for the purpose of creating a fund to liquidate
indebtedness to Worcester and Somerset Counties.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Humphreys, Franklin and Dennis.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the Sheriff's fees in
Somerset County, so far as the same relates to the keeping of
prisoners, and their removal to the penitentiary.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Dennis, McLane and Steiner.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 3, Code of Public Local Laws, title ''Baltimore
County," providing for the more speedy trial of misde-
meanors.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to create a new election district
in Montgomery County, to be known as Mechanicsville Dis-
trict, No. 8.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Peter, Stump and Dennis.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to create a new election district
in Prince George's County, to be known as District No. 14.
