all grain that may be sold or received in Baltimore City, at
the present price of weighing.

The petition of Charles Shrodes and 170 other citizens of
Harford County, praying for the repeal of the Act of 1876,
Chapter 302, and that a uniform License Law be passed for
the whole State.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.
Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's, presented the petition of W.
F. Ford and 45 other citizens of St. Mary's County, praying
the passage of an Act to allow the citizens of St. Mary's and
Calvert Counties to dredge for oysters in a certain portion of
the Patuxent River.
Which was read, and referred to Senators Combs, of St.
Mary's, Hill and Wilson.
Mr. Wilson presented the petition of William H. Hill and
27 others, citizens of Calvert County, praying for the passage
of a law prohibiting the catching of oysters in Mill Creek and
its tributaries for three years.
Which was read, and referred to Senators Wilson, Combs,
of St. Mary's, and Hill.
Also,
The petition of 100 citizens of Calvert County, for the pas-
sage of an Act to allow the citizens of Calvert and St. Mary's
Counties to dredge for oysters in a certain portion of the Pa-
tuxent River.
Which was read, and referred to Senators Wilson, Combs,
of St. Mary's, and Hill.
On motion by Mr. Joyce,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Senators to in-
troduce a bill to be entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
of the November Session, 1812, Chapter 159, entitled an Act
for founding an University in the City or precincts of Balti-
more, by the name of the University of Maryland, and to
authorize the Regents of the University of Maryland to apply
a portion of the property held by said University to the gen-
eral uses of said University, and to sell said property, and
Apply the proceeds to the general uses of said University.
