House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
issue bis warrant upon the Treasurer to pay James M. An-
derson, late Collector of State Taxes for the City of Balti-
more, a sum of money for Commissions on taxes paid there-
by into the Treasury.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered,

House bill entitled an Act to provide for paying the Reg-
ister of Wills for Charles County, for providing a general
index of certain records in the office of Register of Wills for
said county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Lancaster, Hill and Wilson.

Also, delivered,

House bill entitled an Act to prevent stock running at
large in and around Lutherville, in Baltimore County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Freeman, Lee and Gorman.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate certain fines
and forfeitures to purchase a law library in the place of the
one destroyed by fire, for the Circuit Court for Washington
County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Newcomer, Wilson and Joyce.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 21, Article 48,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Insolvents," and
re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Insolvent Laws.

Also, delivered

House bill entiled an Act to repeal and re-enact Sections 3
and 4, of an Act passed by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, at its January Session, 1876, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the purchasers oi the Queen Anne's and Kent Rail-
road, and to further amend said Act of Assembly, by adding
an additional section thereto.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Ford, Hepbron and Cooper.
