Mr. Freeman submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

February 15th, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message proposing that the Com-
mittee on Pensions of the Senate and House of Delegates, re-
spectively, be constituted a Joint Committee, and concur
therein.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Senate bill entitled afi Act to repeal Section 296, and sub-
Section 1, of the Public Local Laws of Washington County,
entitled "Smithsburg," and to re-enact the same with
amendments,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Worcester County, to erect and maintain a
bridge over Herring Creek, in said county, and to levy a sum
of money therefor,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 55, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Montgomery County," sub-title
"Rockville," relating to the election of four Commissioners
as enacted by the Act of 1870, Chapter 170, and to re-enact
said section with amendments,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The President announced the order of the day to be the
following bill:

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller of
the Treasury to adjust and settle the accounts due by Collec-
tors, Sheriffs, Clerks of Courts, Registers of Wills, and other
receivers of public moneys in cases where the indebtedness
accrued prior to and including the year 1875.
