222 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 13,

Senate bill entitled an Act to cede to the United States the
title to the land occupied by the Antietam National Cem-
etery, near Sharpsburg, Washington County, in the State of
Maryland, and to cede jurisdiction over same,

Being upon its third reading, (by unanimous consent,)
Mr. Sulivane submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In Sec. 1, line 13, after the word "Cemetery," add "Com-
pany."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay Walter B. Brooks, assignee in bankruptcy of Stir-
ling, Ahrens & Co., for the rent of certain warehouses in the
City of Baltimore, used as State Tobacco Warehouses,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 125, of Ar-
ticle 10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorches-
ter County," as enacted by the Act passed at January Ses-
sion, 1870, Chapter 317, relating to Justices of the Peace
and Constables, and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as

follows:
