On motion by Mr. Franklin,

Leave was granted to Senators Franklin, Humphreys and
Dennis to introduce a bill, to be entitled an Act to authorize
the County Commissioners of Worcester County to erect and
maintain a bridge over Herring Creek, in said county, and

to levy a sum of money therefor.

Mr. Hill, from a Select Committee, reported unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1872, Chap-
ter 244, authorizing the Governor to appoint Weighers of

Grain, and,

On motion by Mr. Miller,

Was ordered to lie over.

Mr. Garey, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to create a new Election Dis-
trict in Caroline County, to be known as "Ridgely District,"
or District No. 6, of Caroline County.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Sulivane moved to refer said bill to the Committee on
Elections.

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :

Mr. Garey moved that the rules be suspended so as to give
a second reading this day to said bill.
