nal valuation shall be and remain as the true valuation of
such shares, and all laws or parts of laws inconsistent with
the provisions of these sections are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And le it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after the date of its passage.

House bill entitled an Act to refund to the National Bank
of Baltimore, of Baltimore City, State taxes erroneously
paid into the Treasury, for the year 1877.

of Calvert County, a certain sum of money erroneously paid,
into the Treasury.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the"
State's Attorney of Baltimore City to pay out of the excess of
the fees of his office, such sum or sums of money to the State's
Attorney of Worcester County, as may be paid by the Circuit
Court of Worcester County, as may be fixed by the Circuit
Court for Worcester County, as compensation in the case
already tried, of the State of Maryland vs. Allen W. Clark,
removed from the Criminal Court of Baltimore City to the
Circuit Court of said county.

On motion by Mr. McLane,
Was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller of
the Treasury to adjust and settle the accounts due by Collec-
tors, Sheriffs, Clerks of Courts, Registers of Wills and other
receivers of public moneys in cases where the indebtedness
accrued prior to and including the year 1875.
