On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to Senators Dennis, Humphreys and
Sulivane to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act for the bet-
ter keeping and payment over of the money levied and col-
lected in Somerset County, for and on account of the ex-
penses and debts of said county.

On motion by Mr. Stump,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to facilitate the
examination of titles to land in Harford County by authori-
zing the Clerk of the Circuit Court to make out a general in-
dex to the law and equity dockets of said Court.

On motion by Mr. Stump,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to compensate George Y.
Maynadier and William Young for legal services rendered
the State.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, report-
ed favorably

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 12, Chapter
139, of the Laws of 1868, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Ellicott City and Clarksville Turnpike Company, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time, and

On motion by Mr. Peter,
Ordered to lie over.

Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported unfavorably

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact with
amendment the Code of Public General Laws, Section 14,
Article 10, relating to attachments.

Which was adopted.

Also, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to add certain sections to Article
75, Cede of Public General Laws, entitled "Pleadings, Prac-
tice and Process," relating to suits at law.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Steiner, from the Committee on Invalid Deeds and De-
fective Proceedings, reported unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to confirm to the heirs and as-
signs of Samuel McDonald, the exclusive right to wharf at
