to defray the expense of purchasing a fire engine.

Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Register of
Wills for Montgomery County to make a general index to
the last wills and testaments recorded in the office of the
Register of Wills for Montgomery County.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the further ex-
tension of the charter of the Frederick Town Savings Insti-
tution, supplementary to an Act passed at January Session,
1858, Chapter 162, entitled a further supplement to an Act
to incorporate the Frederick Town Savings Institution,
passed at December Session, 1826, March 19th, 1827, Chap-
ter 189, repealing the 1st Section thereof, and re-enacting
the same with amendments.

Endorsed : "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also, delivered

House bill entitled and Act to refund to the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore a sum of money paid by the said
Mayor and City Council, for the removal of the walls and
debris from the burnt Tobacco Warehouses Nos. 1 and 2.

Which, was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
State's Attorney of Baltimore City to pay out of the excess
of the fees of his office, such sum or sums of money to the
State's Attorney of Worcester County, as may be paid by
the Circuit Court of Worcester County, as may be fixed by
the Circuit Court for Worcester County, as compensation in
the case already tried, of the State of Maryland, vs. Allen
W. Clark, removed from the Criminal Court of Baltimore City
to the Circuit Court of said County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to refund taxes on Oyster House
license to Frank G. Wrightson, Administrator of Elijah
Tilghman, deceased, of Talbot County, erroneously paid to
the State.
