Which was read, and referred to Senators Dennis, Suli-
vane and Humphreys.

Mr. McLane presented the memorial of Thomas Opie, Dean
of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, asking an appro-
priation to repair the City Hospital.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Mr. Sulivane presented the petition of 112 citizens of Dor-

chester County, asking for an additional Sloop for the pro-
tection of the waters of Fishing Bay.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on the

Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Sulivane presented the petition of 102 citizens of Dor-

chester County, asking for a re-submission of the Local Option
Law to a vote of the people of said county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Tem-
perance.

Mr. Peter presented the memorial of the Farmers' Clubs
of Montgomery County, praying for the establishment of an
Agricultural Experiment Station.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. McLane presented the petition of Robert B. Varden,
praying for a pension.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. McLane presented the petition of the Board of Man-
agers of the House of Reformation and Instruction, praying
for an appropriation of $15,000.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Finance.

On motion by Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Section
138 of Article 16, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Chancery," as enacted by Chapter 428 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Ses-
sion, 1874, and to re-enact the said Section with amend-
ments.

On motion by Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
lings to introduce a bill, to be entitled an Act to repeal Sec-
