House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Governor to appoint additional Justices of the Peace in the
Fifth and Fourth Election Districts in Montgomery County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Peter, Bannon and Newcomer,

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to prevent horses, mules, horned
cattle, swine and geese from running at large in Towsontown,
Baltimore County, or within the neighborhood thereof.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Freeman, Steiner and Humphreys.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to sanction certain bequests
under the last will and testament of Susan Duke Callon,
late of Baltimore City, deceased.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Board of County
School Commissioners of Baltimore County to pay to John
H. Millander and John T. Martin, trading as Millander &
Martin, the sum of one hundred and sixty-five dollars, for
extra compensation for the erection of a school-house in said
county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Freeman, Stump and Dennis.

On motion by Mr. Stump, (by unanimous consent, )

Leave was granted to Senators Stump, Dennis and Hum-
phreys, to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal
Section 90, Article 12, of the Public Local Laws, title "Har-
ford County, " sub-title "Notices. "

On motion by Mr. Ford,
At 1. 30, P. M., the Senate adjourned.
