of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at January
Session, 1874, Chapter 144, entitled an Act to repeal Sections
5 and 6, of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at January Session, 1872, Chapter 212, entitled an
Act to provide for taking a vote for or against a new county
in certain election districts in Allegany County, at the elec-
tion to be held in the fall of 1872, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, and to re-enact said Section 5 with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows, viz.
