I make the following nominations for Carroll County:

William Frizzle, Justice of the Peace for Second District vice

Thomas Tipton, removed from district.
P. J. Bennett, Justice of the Peace for Eleventh District vice.

Charles Denning, deceased.
Thomas Jones, Justice of the Peace for Twelfth District vice

Joshua Switzer, deceased.

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments.

Under the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly
passed at its present session, I nominate the following as Di-
rectors of the Maryland Penitentiary:

John F. Hunter and John T. Ford, for the term of six
years.

George R. Berry and James A. L. McClure, for the term
of four years.

Albert Sigmund and Hugh Sisson, for the term of two
years.
