A bill entitled "An Act to prevent the obstruction
of the sidewalks of the streets, lanes and alleys of
Baltimore city, and lor that purpose to repeal the par-
agraph entitled 'Buildings' of section 6, entitled 'Gen-
eral Powers' of Article 4, entitled 'City of Baltimore'
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, as
enacted by chapter 123 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly, passed at the January session, in the year
1898; and also to repeal section 8 of said Article, sub-
title 'Franchises,' and to re-enact said paragraph and
section 8 with amendments."

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Baltimore city delegation.

A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Comp-
troller of the State Treasury to sell and convey certain
real estate in Charles county, standing in the name of
the Montgomery A. Carpenter and Carrie B. Carp-
