Senate bill, File No. 274, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments, sections 179 and 179 A
of chapter 197 of the Actw of 1902, providing for the
appointment of justices of the peace in Allegany
county, and defining their duties and jurisdiction, and
fixing the salary for the justices of the peace of Elec-
tion Districts Numbers 4, 5, 6, 14, 22 and 23.' "

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Allegany delegation.

Senate bill, File No. 272, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments section 209 P of Article
1, and section 164 O, of Article 12 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Allegany county and Garrett county,
respectively, entitled 'Mining and Mine Inspector, and
Manufacturers and Mines,' sub-title 'Penalties,' as the
said section was enacted by chapter 124 of the Acts of
1902, providing for the punishment of violations of
said Act, and for the jurisdiction of courts and magis-
trates in relation to the same."

Committee on Judiciary,

Senate bill, File No. 162, entitled "An Act to add
additional sections to Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Queen Anne's County,'
to be known as 'Section 208 A,' under a new sub-title
of 'Fraud Livery Stable Keepers,' providing for the
punishment of persons hiring horses or vehicles from
livery stable keepers in Queen Anne's county, to go
a certain distance and using said horses and vehicles
for a greater distance."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Queen Anne's delegation.
