The Speaker distributed the following message from
the Senate:
House bill, File No. 328, entitled "An Act to repeal
sections 180, 181, 182, 206 A. 217, 237, 245, 246 and
257 of Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title 'Frederick County,' sub-title 'Freder-
ick,' and to enaet the following in lieu thereof and in
addition thereto.' "
Endorsed: "Read the third time and'passed by yeas
and nays."
Also,
House bill, File No. 218, entitled "An Act to extend
the time for transmitting the statement to the Insur-
ance Commissioner required by section 135 of Article
23 of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Corpora-
tion.' "
Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays as amended."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the words "A Bill," and insert
the following:
''Entitled 'An Act to add a new section to Article 23
of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Corpora-
tion,' sub-title 'Insurance Department,' to be known
as 'Section 123 A,' and to follow section 123 "
Which was adopted.
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a new section be added to Article 23
of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Corpor-
ations,' sub-title 'Insurance Department,' to be known
as 'Section 135 A,' and to follow section 135 and to
read as follows: '135 A. The statement or statements
required to be made to the Insurance Commissioners
under section 135 of this Article, may for the year
ending December 31st, 1903, be transmitted on or be-
fore July 1st, 1904, in lieu of this time or times pro-
vided in section 135 of this Article, and the Insurance
Commissioner shall not be required to publish abstracts
of the said section 139 of this Article, nor his annual
