Ordered, That Mr. Morrison be excused from at-
tendance at to-day's session on account of important
business.

On motion of Mr. Bennett, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Hearn and Mr. Messick be ex-
cused from attendance of to-day's session on account
of business.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Wells,

A bill entitled "An Act to regulate the rates of fare
of the city and suburban railway so far as it operates
its electric passenger cars within Prince George's
county, Maryland, the issuing of tickets, heating of
cars and for other purposes."

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
By Mr. Lock,

A bill entitled "An Act to add an additional section
to Article 53 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Landlord and Tenant,' sub-title 'Distress for Rent,'
to be known as 'Section 26.' "

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.

By Mr. Stump,

A bill entitled "An Act .to amend Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Allegany County,'
sub-title 'County Commissioners,' by adding thereto
a section, to be designated as 'Section 37 A,' author-
izing and directing the County Commissioners of Alle-
gany county, to annually levy to the incorporated
towns in said county the sum of ten thousand dollars."

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Allegany delegation.
By Mr. Evans,

A bill entitled "An Act to refund to John Murphy
and Company a sum of money paid by them as taxes
for the year 1899."

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
