cates."

Senate bill, File No. 5, entitled "An Act to appro-
priate the sum of $40,000 for the use of the Commis-
sioner of the State of Maryland, at the St. Louis-
Louisiana Purchase Exposition."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee an Ways and Means.

Also,

Senate bill, File No. 93, entitled "An Act to add
six new sections to Article 2, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title 'Anne Arundel County,' sub-title
'Annapolis,' defining the relation of landlords and
tenants in said city of Annapolis, to follow section 74
and to be designated as 'Sections A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4,
A-5 and A-6.' "

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Also,

Senate Joint Resolution No. 5.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a committee of seven persons to be selected—
three by the President of the Senate, and four by the
Speaker of the House of Delegates, be appointed to
inquire into the advisability of the State of Maryland
acquiring and utilizing the debris from the great con-
flagration in Baltimore city, for the purpose of re-
plenishing with clutch material, the oyster depleted
bottoms of the Chesapeake bay and tributaries, and
to report back as soon as practicable the result of said
investigation.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.
