AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 13 page two (2) strike out the word "eight"
and insert the word "seven."

Was adopted.

In line twenty (20) page three (3) strike out the word
'"eighteen" after the words "shall be" and insert the
word "sixteen."

Was adopted.

In section two (2), page 4 strikeout the words "date
of its passage," and insert "1st day of May, 1904."

Was adopted.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Charles, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill, File No. 864, entitled "An Act to repeal
Article 36, section 28 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'Sheriff,' sub-title 'Fees for Delivering
Commissions to Road Supervisors,' so far as the same
applies to Washington county."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Hiteshew, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill. File No. 323, entitled "An Act to repeal
sections 180, 181, 182, 206 A, 217, 237, 245, 246 and
257 of Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title 'Frederick County," sub-title
'Frederick,' and to enact the following in lieu thereof
and in addition thereto."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Green, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill, File No. 326, entitled "An Act to au-
thorize the County Commissioners of Baltimore coun-
ty to levy a sum of money to be applied to the build-
ing of a new school house. No. 6, in the 15th district
of Baltimore county."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
