Montgomery delegation.

By Mr. Morrison,

A bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction and
consent of the General Assembly of Maryland, to the
bequest of Maria Shackelford, late of Baltimore city,
State of Maryland, deceased, made by her last wall
and testament, dated the 10th day of February, 1903,
to the Board of Trustees of the Central Presbyterian
Church of Baltimore."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judiciary.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message :

Senate bill, File No. 50, entitled "An Act to enlarge
the charter powers of the Western Maryland Railroad
Company; to approve the present location of its railroad
from Big Pool, in Washington county, to its connec-
tion with the system of the West Virginia Central and
Pittsburg Railway Company, near Cumberland; to en-
able it to exercise the powers of condemnation pre-
scribed for railroad companies under the General Laws
of Maryland; to declare and confirm its right to cross
and re cross with its railroad the Chesapeake and Ohio
Canal, the Potomac Valley and Potomac River, and
ratifying the action of the Board of Public Works of
Maryland in approving the plans of said railroad com-
pany for crossing said canal; to expressly authorize it
to condemn certain parcels of land of the Chesapeake
and Ohio Canal Company lying on the northern and
southern sides of said canal, together with the ease-
ment of crossing the same with bridges and railroad,
and the easement of the right during construction, to
erect and use temporary platforms, bridges and other
appliances in, upon, or over said canal to provide for
transporting waste material from the north side to the
south side thereof, and to give said railroad company
