By Mr. Hall,

A bill entitled "An Act to amend Article 27, sec-
tion 230 of the Public General Laws of Maryland."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled "Au Act to authorize and direct the
Board of Police Commissioners of Baltimore city to
pay William W. Brown, a former policeman of the
police force of Baltimore city, the sum of nine dollars
per week."

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Baltimore city delegation.

Also, (by request),

A bill entitled "An Act to regulate business and
trade in cities having a population of 10,000 or over,
declaring it unlawful and making it a misdemeanor to
transact business in violation of the provisions there-
of, and providing a penalty for such violation; said
Act to be titled 'Department Stores.' "

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

Also,

A bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland to the deeds from
George I.'Marsh and from Charles B. Blandford, to
the Church of the Holy Trinity, in the city of Balti-
more, a body corporate."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
