JOINT RESOLUTION.

Resolved, Whereas, It has pleased Divine Provi-
dence to remove from this sphere of usefulness, the
Hon. Marcus A. Hanna, of Ohio, and

Whereas, It is fitting that the General Assembly of
Maryland should express its appreciation of his life
and distinguished service.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Federal Relations.

REPORT OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Johnston, from the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported unfavorably,

House bill, File No. 71, entitled "An Act to add
three new sections to Article 27, Code Public General
Laws, title 'Crimes and Punishments,' under the sub-
title 'Assault,' to follow immediately after section 18,
and to be known as 'Sections 13 A, 13 B and 13 C.' "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Also favorably,

Senate bill, File No. 48, entitled "An Act ielating
to Christ Church, Rock Springs, Harford county, con-
firmatory of its incorporation and corporate acts and
powers.''

Which was read the second time.

Also favorably,

Senate bill, File No. 26, entitled "An Act to add a
new section to Article 75, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title 'Pleading, Practice and Process,' sub-
title 'Replevin,' to come in after section 111, and to
be known as 'Section 111 A,' relating to bonds in ac-
tion of replevin."

Which was read the second time.
Also favorably,

Senate bill, File No. 62, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments section 95 of Article 16
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled 'Chan-
cery,' sub-title 'Jurisdiction.' "
