The Journal of February 11th was read, and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.
. Mr. Pearre, (by request), presented

A petition from J. C. Easter, William Clark, of I
and Howard C. Dorsey and a number of other citizens
of the 5th election district, of Howard county, asking
for the passage of a law to regulate the running of
automobiles in Howard county, Md.

Which was read and referred to the Howard delega-
tion and Mr. Ray.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Jackson, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Dodson be excused from to-day's
session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Baker, it. was
Ordered, That Mr. Kirbin be excused from to-day's,
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Baker, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Tennant be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Howard, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Harvey be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Lock, it was

Ordered, That Messrs. Bald, Godwin, Henkel, Mil-
ler and Pairo, be excused on account of important
business.
