the Senate and five on the part of the House, who to-
gether with, the Board of Public Works, shall be re-
quested to immediately confer with the Mayor of
Baltimore city for the purpose of determining what
assistance the State of Maryland can render to the pity
to relieve the immediate distress caused by the disas-
trous fire, and that said committee be requested to
meet at once and report back to the Legislature forth-

with.

We have named on the part of the House, Messrs.
Goslin, Morrison, Moore, Wells and Henkel.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

February 9th, 1904.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message, requesting the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee who, together with
the Board of Public Works, shall meet the Mayor of
Baltimore city, for the purpose of determining what
assistance the State of Maryland, can render to the

city of Baltimore, to relieve the immediate distress

caused by the fire, and we concur therein.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Robinson, Gill and Dixon.
