Article, and to follow 'Section 27,' and to be numbered

Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Caroline county Delegation.

RESOLUTION.
By Mr. Godwin.

Whereas, this House has learned with deep regret
of the appearance of the "Grim Reaper" in the family
of our fellow member, Hon. John W. Williams, of
Montgomery county;

Whereas, although we should at all times be ready
and willing to submit to the will of Him who rales all
things, yet that submission can be made easier by the
sympathy of our fellow man;

Therefore, Be it resolved by the House of Delegates,
that our sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condo-
lence be extended to our colleague, Hon. John W.
Williams and his bereaved family in their hoar of
sorrow and affliction, due to the death of their daughter;

And be it further resolved. That these resolutions
be spread upon the Journal of the House, and a copy
sent under seal of the Speaker and Chief Clerk, to the
family of said colleague...

Which was read and unanimously adopted by a
rising vote.

REPORT OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Collins, from the Committee on Claims, reported
unfavorably, the following order:

Ordered, That the employees of this House be
allowed ten dollars worth of stationery and five dol-
lars worth of stamps.

Which unfavorable report was adopted.
