BY THE SENATE,

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message proposing the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee of nine on the part of
the House and tive on the part of the Senate, to wait
upon the Hon. Isidor Rayner, to inform him of his
election as Senator in Congress to serve for the term
of six years, from the 4th of March, 1905, and respect-
fully concur therein.

We have named an the part of the Senate, Senators
Gill, Robinson, Applegarth, Lewis and Dixon.

JOINT RESOLUTION.

Joint resolution requesting the Governor to issue
a commission to the Hon. Isidor Rayner, Senator-elect
in the Congrees of the United States from this Stare,
for the term of six years from the 4th day of Marchr
1905.

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That his Excellency, the Governor, be and is
hereby requested to issue his commission in the usual
form to the Hon. Isidor Rayner, as Senator-elect, to
represent this State in the Congress of the United
States, for the term of six years from the 4th day of
March, in the year 1905.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Federal Relations.
