the aforesaid printing, each being accompanied by a
good and sufficient bond for thirty thousand dollars, as
prescribed in the said advertisement, at which saidhour
on the day aforesaid, I proceeded to open said bids
in the presence of the bidders or their agents, and of
such of the public as chose to attend ; and it appear-
ing that Wm. J. C. Dulany Co., of Baltimore, were
the lowest responsible bidders, I thereupon awarded
to them the contract for said printing at the price set
out in their bid, to wit: The- sum of twenty-nine thou-
sand nine hundred and ninety dollars ($29,990.00). I
then entered into the following contract with the said
Wm. J. C. Dulany Co., which contract and the bond
and bid of the said Wm. J. C. Dulany Co. are filed and
recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Court of Ap-
peals of Maryland.

CONTRACT FOR STATE PRINTING.

Articles of agreement, made and concluded this
twenty fifth day of September, nineteen hundred and
three, by and between Thomas Parran, Clerk of the
Court of Appeals of Maryland, of the first part, and
the Wm. J. C. Dulany Company, of Baltimore, a body
corporate of the State of Maryland, of the second part,
wituesseth, that

Whereas, The said party of the second part has
transmitted to the party of the first part a bid for the
printing required to be done for the General Assembly
of Maryland, at its next ensuing session in pursuance
of the provisions of Article 78 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, which said bid is hereto
annexed, and is hereby adppted and made part of these
presents; and

Whereas, the said party of the first part has, in
compliance with the provisions of said Article 78 of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, award-
ed the contract for said printing to said Wm. J. C.
Dulany Company, the party of the second part, they
being the lowest responsible bidders therefor, at the
price stipulated in said bid.

Now, therefore, in consideration of the premises, the
said party of the second part covenant and agree that
