INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Linthicum,

A bill entitled "An Act to appropriate money for
the location, erection and dedication of a monument
in the city of Baltimore to commemorate valor and

courage of Maryland soldiers and sailors in the war
1861-1865."

Which was read a first time and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means,

By Mr. Keys,

A bill entitled "An Act to amend the Charter of the
Chesapeake and Delaware Canal Company."

Which was read a first time and referred to the

Committee on Railroads and Canals.

By Mr. Linthicum,

A bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to defray the expenses of the interment of the
bodies of deceased soldiers, .sailors and marines who
served in the United or Confederate States Army or
Navy between the years 1861-1865."

Which was read a first time and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.

By Mr. Linthicum,

A bill entitled "An Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, title, 'Corporations,' to be known as
"Section 221 A,' sub-title 'Safe Deposit Companies,'
defining and restricting the terms upon which trustees,
executors or administrators, or other fiduciaries, rent-
ing boxes or safes, in Safe Deposit vaults in this State,
shall be permitted to have access and entry to same in
person or by deputy."

Which was read a first time, and referred to the
.Committee on Corporations.

A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal Church, in the city and pre-
cincts of Baltimore, to sell or lease a part of the land
