On motion of Mr. Walbach, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Smoot be excused from yester-
day's session on account of Sickness.
On motion of Mr. Norris, it was
Ordered, That the employees of the House be-
allowed ten dollars worth of stationery and five dollars
worth of stamps.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

On motion of Mr. Godwin, it was

Ordered, That the Judiciary Committee be author-
ized and empowered to employ a clerk who shall also
act as stenographer and typewriter for said committe.

Which was read and referred to the Committe on
Claims.

On motion of Mr. Linthicum, it was

Ordered, That the Superintendent of Public Build-
ings be directed to furnish a desk fitted with lock and
key, and such other furniture as may be necessary, in
the room assigned for the use of the Committee on
Elections.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

Also,

Ordered, That the Chief Clerk be directed to have
printed 150 copies each of the testimony in the cases
of Paddy and Chaney vs. Bond and Simmons, and
Edelen and Irere vs. Smoot and Walbach, now pend-
ing before the Committee on Elections, for the use of
the House of Delegates.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

On motion of Mr. Wells, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Engrossed Bills
and Resolutions be authorized and empowered to em-
ploy a clerk for the purpose of enabling the commit-
tee to effectually carry out the new system inaugurated
by this House, in the matter of engrossing the bills of
its members.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
