within one and one-half miles of the Iron Stone
Ridge, at a point commonly known as 'Stump's
Hill,' in Frederick county, Maryland, and to ena-
ble the County Commissioners of Frederick county
to purchase, lease or condemn the Stone Arch bridge,
now in course of construction across the Monocacy
river, in Frederick county, Maryland, at said point,
for the use of said county, and to authorize and
empower the said County Commissioners to borrow
sufficient money on the credit of said county for the
purpose of paying for said bridge in case the same is
purchased or acquired by the County Commissioners
of said county."

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Benson from Select Committee reported without
recommendation,

Senate bill, File No. 121, entitled "An Act to repeal
section 174 B of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title 'Baltimore County,' sub-title 'Police and
Police Stations,' as passed by Act of 1902, chapter
428."

On motion placed on 2nd reading.

Mr. Gill, from the Committee on Printing, reported
unfavorably,

Senate bill, File No. 307, entitled "Au Act to repeal
Article 78, of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled 'Public Printer,' and to re-enact the sams."
On motion of Mr. Kirbin, it was

Moved that the bill be substituted for the unfavor-
able report.

Which motion prevailed.
On motion,

The bill was placed on its second reading.

Mr. Collins, from Committee on Claims, reported
favorably,

Ordered, That Washington Knowble, postmaster of
the House of Delegates, be paid the sum of $150 for
extra services to be rendered as postmaster of this
House after the adjournment of the present session of
the Legislature.
