House bill, File No. 845, entitled "An Act to add
a new section to Article 65 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title 'Militia,' sub-title 'Reserve Militia and
General Staff,' to follow section 6, and to be desig-
nated as 'Section 6 A,' providing for making a Roster
of all Maryland soldiers who were in service prior to
1861."

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 1, line 1, 6 A, strike out the words "and
Governor conjointly are" and substitute the word "is."

In line 2, strike out the word "additional."

In line 6 after the word "expenses," add the follow-
ing, "such sum to be appropriated out of money in
the Treasury not otherwise appropriated."

Mr. Benson, from Committee on Constitutional
Amendments, reported unfavorably,

House bill, File No. 813, entitled "An Act to amend
section 1 of Article 1, of the Constitution of the State
and to provide for the submission of said amendment
to the qualified voters of this State for adoption or re-
jection."

On motion of Mr. Dodson, it was

port.
