Journal of the 28th was read and approved.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Charles, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Mitchell be excused i'rom to-day's
session on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Linthicum, it was

Ordered, That the pages of this House obtain from
the State Printer, at a cost not to exceed ten (10) dol-
lars, proper labels to be affixed to the files of Senate
and House bills and Journal, containing the name of
each member and proper designation of each file.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

On motion of Mr. Hall, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Morrison be excused from attend-
ance at to-day's session on account of important busi-
ness.

On motion of Mr. Hopkins, it was

Ordered, That Messrs. Jones and Wingate be ex-
cused from to-day's session on account of important
business.

On motion of Mr. Gill, it was

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Corporation
Committee be empowered to employ a clerk and a
stenographer for the use of the committee.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
