Force,' to follow section 36, and lo be designated as
'Section 86 B.' "

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Becker, from Committee on Temperance, re-
ported favorably, with amendments,

House bill, File No. 759, entitled "An Act for the
sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at
any place in Petersville Election District No. 12, in
Frederick county, except in the village of Knoxville,
in said district, and to prevent the sale of all kinds of
intoxicating drinks in the above described limit."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 1, line 5, after the word "Knoxville,"
add the following words:

"And it shall not be lawful for any person, persons
or body corporate to sell any spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer at any place in Petersville Elec-
tion District No. 12, in said county, except in the vil-
lage of Knoxville."

Which was adopted.

Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Also favorably,

House bill, File No. 779, entitled "An Act to pro-
vide for an election to be held in Election District No.
5, of Worcester county, to determine by a ballot of the
qualified and registered voters in said district whether
spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors of what-
ever origin, or alcoholic bitters shall be sold therein."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message :
