Senate bill, File No. 166, entitled "An Act to give the
sanction and authority of the General Assembly of
Maryland to conveyance of lauds heretofore made valid
subsequent sales and conveyances of parts of said lands
made by said commissioners."

Which was read the second time.
Also favorably,

Senate bill, File No. 284, entitled "An Act to amend
Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Crimes and Punishments,' by adding certain sections
thereto to follow section 268 C, and to be known as
'Sections 263 D, 263 E, 263 F, 263 G and 263 H,' and
to regulate the issue and redemption of trading stamps
or other similar devices."

Which was read the second time.
Also,

Petition of Wm. T. Burroughs and 23 other citizens
of St. Mary's county, asking that such laws be enacted
as will give magistrates concurrent jurisdiction with
Circuit Courts.

Considered by the Judiciary Committee, and it is

unanimously of the opinion that the Justices of the
Peace jurisdiction should not extend to the extent
prayed for in said petition.
